When did you start your musical career?
I started making music in 2015, my sophomore year of college. I always dabbled with poetry and rap throughout middle school and high school, but didn't wholeheartedly focus on it. One summer I was working on campus and heard this instrumental that I wanted to try creating a song to. The first song I made was called "Opposites Attract", which I recorded with garage band and a headset. I needed an outlet from school work and music was the perfect escape. Ever since, I have been creating music and perfecting my craft.
Who inspires you? I take my inspiration from a multitude of areas and people. I would say my biggest musical inspirations are Kendrick Lamar, Nipsey, Jay-Z, Drake, and Cole, but I listen to a wealth of artists and genres. A lot of my music has deep-house influences and I love anything with a vibe that seems to envelop. JaBig, Mary Jane Coles, Everything But The Girl, and Childish Gambino are a few more inspirations of mine. To be honest, I'm leaving so many great influences out.
What are your plans for the year? In 2021, I am planning to release an EP titled "aPart of the World". Right now I am in the process of working with my producer FreecssBeats to mix and master the project. The project has everything from boom-bap to house to bossa nova so I think it'll have something for everyone
