YRSL musical journey is an interesting one as he used to write music out of pure boredom in high school and football was and still is on his mind. All his friends always felt that he has the potential to create music, but he always thought that it was just hype and them being supportive. In terms of his musical inspirations, he is drawn to the likes of Andre 3000, Jay Z , Beyoncé and Sade. Music that has high frequency energy or rather quality bars and mesmerizing vocals.
