Alley Rocket, a 23-year-old artist from Newark, New Jersey has been making a name for himself and his brand. He released his first song titled ‘How You Mad’ in the 10th grade and only continued growing artistically from there. Moreover, he along with his childhood friends; Heem Da Dream, Nick Straight and Bobcat went on to create the hip-hop collective known as Rap Villain which now boasts of many talented rappers such as Tac0o, amazing producers in Dren and Yizzle and great cameramen in Chuck and Oxy Droji. In addition, Rocket went on to release his first mixtape in 2017 called ‘Supa Fly’. On this tape, a 17-year-old Rocket shows off his insane rapping ability and his hunger is evident. The following years showed an increase both in quality and quantity of Rocket’s music. In 2019, he went on to drop 8 tracks and was also featured on the Nick Straight single, “Eat Eat”. Rocket also dropped one of his biggest songs “Girly”, a catchy club banger where Rocket tells a girl about how she’s the baddest. In 2020, Rocket announced that he will release his debut mixtape, “Apollo Boy”, the same year. He dropped another single in March to keep fans ready for the album. In September, Rocket dropped “Withdrawal”, the lead single to the tape. It boasts of production from Dren and the video was shot by Chuck To add, he went on to drop Apollo Boy on the 27th of November and he didn’t disappoint whatsoever. His versatility was shown right from the gate: from R&B to trap to lyrical rap and much more. Visuals for “Doctor Evil”, another song off the tape which was produced by Speedyondabeat and directed by Chuck were dropped a few months later. Rocket’s biggest inspirations are Kanye West, Drake, Travis Scott, and Andre 3000. Lastly, as of the time of this article, Alley Rocket is currently working on the deluxe of his mixtape with the first single dropping on the 15th of June. Be sure to presave it below.
