Chakkra Tara was involved in music from the age of 8 and till this day he holds his own in the hip-hop sphere. He officially started his career in 2014, with having to network with people in Atlanta, being invited to studio sessions and just literally learning more about himself through the environment he was in. Eventually he decided that he will learn to do things on his own from mixing his own music, directing his own music videos, producing and mastering his own records to also booking and promoting his own shows. It may have been a bit hectic for him, however he was determined to learn about the ins and outs of the music business because he truly loves his craft. In terms of his everyday inspirations he can be sparked by artists, poets, writers and other musicians. The likes of Beres Hammond, Mos Def, Nina Simone, Gil Scott Heron, Louis Armstorng, Lauryn Hill, Gregory Isaacs, Angela Davis, Biggie, Betty Wright, James Baldwin, Nas, Michael Jackson, Nikki Giovanni, Tribe Called Quest, Dapper Dan, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Toni Morrison and The Roots (Talk about a long list). His plans for 2022 are quite interesting as he is focused on high intensity especially when it comes to dropping singles, freestyles and projects. This year he wants to make sure that his music speaks volumes, and also collaborating with other artists. He truly wants a team that will be with him through thick and thin and that will believe the vision he set for himself. Anything that will distract him from his dreams, goals and ambitions, he is shutting those obstacles down. He is not taking any prisoners this year so definetely watch out for him, he is taking it all. Please do stream and share his music, he is definetely on his way.
