INDIGO SAINT

Mental health is an issue that is running rampart lately whether it be caused by financial or emotional we cannot deny its effects. Indigo Saint is a an artist that is very vocal about mental health and is always trying to combat depression through spreading his message in his music. He initially started his rap career in 2010, when his desire was to rap and explore his talent, whilst taking a gap year right after high school. In addition, just out of crazy luck whilst he was walking with his sister he saw a poster about a studio in town and he advised him to take the leap of faith and pursue his rap career. With a background of poetry and the love of story telling, it was basically all in alignment with him being a full time rapper. In 2011 whilst he was attending Tuks (University of Pretoria) he was a part of a cypher crew called 'only the illest', and while battling other emcees he managed to gain the courage to perform in front of crowds and improve his craft. The artists that have been responsible for inspiring/influencing his music ranges from TKzee, Nipsey Hussle, Russ and even the John Lennon. He strongly believes that as an artist you need to own your music and art, hence artists like Nipsey Hussle and Russ encourage to be book smart in terms of the music industry. In terms of new music he has been on his grind, from the last 18 months with some songs not released due to distribution. However, the insecure deluxe version is ready, whilst working with Portland (Producer) who together have made the work called love over fear. To add, he has a number of collaborations on his new music, so the fans are definitely going to be treated to some good music. 50 songs ain't a joke, so we gonna be expecting some heat!

When he is not in the studio, he will be chilling with his friends being the gent with the lame jokes. Lastly, he is also an anime fan so we he got the nerdy vibe to him. go
