MJ Tha Kid officially started his musical path when he was 9 years old talk about a child star. His father being a DJ and his mother being part of the choir just added more depth to his musical understanding, hence all he has known is music. The background of his sound mainly comes from Hip-Hop, Rnb, Gospel and you can hear the tones of all three genres when you hear his music. Another interesting fact about him is that he was part of the marching band, crazy right? and on top of all that he got his Ray Charles on and decided to learn piano with the right mentors of course. Let's not forget that he is teaching himself how to play guitar and produce his own music, this guy could be a protégé and we will never. In terms of his inspirations he is inspired by the likes of Eric Bellinger, Bryson Tiller, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Juice Wrld, Ye Ali, Kiana Lede, Vedo, Kehlani, Teyana Taylor, Reggie Becton, & Lucky Daye. He believes a healthy combination of late 90's and early 2000s is the best combo to create a unique sound. The plans he has are more for 2022 as he wants to release his album next year however he will drop a few EPs there and there. But do stream and share his music, he is truly talented.
