Poet22 is an artist that has been at it, in terms of being on and off. With the time she spent figuring out her sound she finally released her single 'better' on Soundcloud in 2019. In addition, she released the song during her junior high school years and has been on it for two years straight. Moreover, she is inspired by the creative process, the experience and self-reflection. Moreover, growing up her family used to listen to a variety of sounds in Chicago. Music like House, Funk and Soul. As she matured with age and time she started developing an ear for RnB, Neo-Soul and elements of Jazz and with artists such as Aaliyah, TLC and Amy Winehouse who inspires her, she is definitely on the right path. Lastly her plans for her music this year is to release her first album “Chrysalis” which she is hoping that her fans will grow to love and admire, and her producer Tamira Slade who worked tirelessly on her project.
