Sokhanna is an artist that hails from the Cape Town but she was raised in GrahamsTown. Call it sixth sense or fate she always knew that music was in her blood and that she is destined to be on the musical path. She initially started at the age of 10 to master her craft by simply thinking of melodies and harmonizing, and that is when her other talent of song-writing started to develop. Dancing, performing and singing is just a part of who she is and with inspirations such as Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Anita Baker and Brian McKnight and with a combination of the younger generation. Her project "Mixed Emotions " is a combination of different sounds which she is capable of handling whether it be RnB or House. The EP/Project itself is all about love, heartbreak, and also the beauty of vulnerability. Its not all gloom and doom because it also tackles the positive parts of love like memories of the beautiful times spent. The song that was chosen to get our eargasms going was "Closure" which was the lead single from the project/EP. Please do stream and share the track because it is definitely a certified hit.
