THE UPPRISE PODCAST: UNAKO DUBULA

The podcasting space in South Africa is trending, and more people are getting to discover that their passion lies in thought provoking conversations. The podcaster I would like to mention is a Wits student, born and raised in the Eastern Cape and currently studying towards a BA in Media, Linguistics and South African Sign Language. Her name is Unako Dubula, a woman determined to spark controversial conversations whilst allowing the audience to engage her with their own opinions. In addition, her superpower of mind picking and her love for conversating with people has lead her to this path. Being a student in the media scene has allowed her to want to learn from her audience as well teach, hence the podcast was born. The purpose of her podcast is to create a safe space for people to freely express their thoughts and have a synergetic flow of exchanging ideas. With time she desires to have a 1000 loyal listeners and have a few pioneers in their industry to come and be a guests on the show. In five years time she highlights the priority of having impact especially with the youth. Lastly, for her to grow she would desire sponsorships as well as collaborations which will make her podcast not only grow locally but reach an international audience.
