THEKHO

Thekho aka Arman is an artist that approaches music with patience and moves subtly as he is growing bit by bit. In addition, as he is paving his path in the music industry he is finding his sound and his space in the world of music. Below are direct interview questions of Thekho:

NOBRAND: When did you start your musical career?

Thekho: I began releasing music under the name Thékho through Soundcloud in 2015, where I released my first mixtape "The Tea Tape" and a handful of singles. After this, I decided to take some time to work on a full-length album and focus on my studies while networking with producers, instrumentalists, and vocalists. This July I released my debut album "Tea Party" which was the culmination of my work over the past four years. I am excited to share all of the work that went into the album including the various music videos that were released promotionally prior to the album!

NOBRAND: Who inspires you?

Thekho: When I was younger I listened to a lot of old-school hip-hop music which is still rooted in my sound. However, over the past few years, I have immersed myself in Asian music. In particular, I appreciate the effort that is put into songwriting, production, choreography, and engineering in K-Pop/K-Hip-Hop and Taiwanese R&B. Some of my favorite artists today are Yerin Baek, Red Velvet, and Julia Wu. My favorite western artists include Saba, Smino, Anderson .Paak, and Dua Lipa.

NOBRAND: What are the plans for this year?

Thekho: This year I want to continue to promote my album while working on new music with some of the artists that I have networked with at home in Toronto. I hope that as restrictions begin to ease we can host a release party that had to be placed on hold due to the pandemic. I am actively working hard on my next project and can't wait to share the new sounds my team and I have been experimenting with.

I please believe that Thekho is truly talented as he plans to bring the music scene in Canada to life, please do stream and share his music. He is definitely up next and hopefully he grows an organic fan base that truly loves his music and support him on the journey.
