There are people who can work hard in the arts (music/acting) to be the best version of themselves and then there are people who are gifted naturally, its almost as if it was written in the stars for them to receive their talents and to be great. The songstress that I would love to talk about has the natural gift as well as the experience under her belt. Zimkitha is an RnB, Afro Soul singer who has cemented her reputation through her experience in musical theatre as well as the music she has released over the years and must be deemed as a decorated vocal veteran. In addition, her journey initially started when she was 17 when she was part of a band named ' Ginger Alibi' which later rebranded and was called ' Travelin Blak' although the band was disbanded it is the memories and lessons that she cherished the most. Her inspiration comes from a family background, her father being in a choir and her mother being a radio drama writer, she is rooted with talented individuals. An old soul, she has had the privilege of putting posters of on the wall of artirts such as Lebo Mathosa, Boom Shaka, Michael Jackson, Tupac, TLC, Brandy as well as Destiny's Child. When her frequency feels sometype of way, she will express it through singing and writing music. I believe she is an immense talent who I believe is making strides in the industry.
